Meet The Band

Jas Morris - Lead Vocals / Guitar / BVs

Initially taught and inspired by his late father Jas began playing guitar at the age of 12. From then onwards an insatiable addiction to the instrument took over. At age 15 along with his brother Dan he began gigging the local scene in a band with their father - Morris Brothers Band. A few years down the line at age 18 and armed with 6 years of 7-8 hours practice per day and much gigging experience Jas entered the UK’s Guitarist Of The Year competition and won. The event was held at the Birmingham NEC and was sponsored by Guitarist Magazine. In the years since he became top 3 in the International Guitar Idol contest (held in London), began recording tuition video’s with the renowned Lick Library ( and began transitioning into lead vocals with the band. With great sadness, Jas and Dan’s father passed away suddenly in 2010. The boys decided to keep the band going, called Rude Tiger at the time. In a few short years since have toured Europe, supported many bands including Feeder, Reef, Toploader, Calvin Harris, Texas, Eliza Doolittle, Tinie Tempah and many more. Along with a band name change to Firekind, Jas travelled over to Los Angeles to record with legendary producer Alain Johannes (Queens Of The Stone Age, Chris Cornell) and shortly after Thailand where the band competed in the Global Battle Of The Bands competition ( and walked away being crowned the Best Band in the World. Jas lives in South Devon and is currently touring, writing and recording with Firekind in between performing in events all over the UK and abroad with FIRE IT UP.


Dan Morris - Vocals / Bass 

As a child Dan was initially inspired by live music from his late father - who played in several successful bands. Having watched him play the electric guitar he took to learning the bass so he could jam with him at home. Since then he has grown a huge passion for music. Having toured and played in several bands Dan has supported notable bands such as Feeder, Toploader and Reef to thousands of people. He has studied sound engineering and has worked as a studio engineer producing music for local bands and solo acts. Dan now enjoys living the dream by playing bass for a living!


Jack Toy - Drums

Jack began playing the drums at the age of Ten, initially self taught, he began cutting his teeth Playing in Rock and Metal bands in Plymouth. At the age of 18, Jack competed at a national level in The Mapex 'Drummer of Tomorrow' competition; his efforts at the contest won him an endorsement with Mapex Drums and a coverage in several drum magazines. At the age of 19 Jack went onto study at Guildford's Academy of Contemporary Music, where over a period of three years, he achieved a 1st class degree in music performance. After graduating, Jack took the opportunity to travel the world playing aboard luxury cruise liners in the onboard Showband Orchestra's and Jazz Bands. Following this, Jack toured New Zealand with travelling Theater Productions, before returning to the UK in late 2014 to pursue his career in the UK. Jack is delighted to have been invited to be part of The Mighty FireKind, a band with immense talent, explosive performance, brotherhood and passion. Jack has an energetic playing style, technical prowess and lives for the drums.
